Called No. 1 Hale and Hammond who are checking out two young fellows at the Sunnyside Morot Co., they say two boys standing beside the body shop. Ed. backed up No.1 and the boys came out to the street. They were Kurt S. Sokolowski, Colonial Rd Holden and Gary Griffin of Edson Ave. Rutland. Their car R36158 1953 Plymouth was parked up Salisbury St. near where Al. Drawbridge used to live. Their batter had a loose post on it. They looked around the used cars in the back of the body shop and found one that looked as if someone had tried to get the battery out. D>J>H> Jr. came down and looked at the battery. There were footprints aroudn Dans car and the footprints appeared to be the same as the boys wore. They claimed to know nothing about the attempted larceny and said that they were just taking a short cut through the yard. |

Out on traffic survey, Hemlock Road and Oakridge Road. From 7.30 to 8.30 a.m. I parked on Oakridge Road, near Lovell Road and 29 cars came out of Hemlock onto Oakridge, 10 cars came down Oakridge and 10 cars went up over Oakridge and Hemlock. Twenty five (25) children came on their way to school. Traffic moved very reasonable speed. |

John Krikorian calls re: stray female German Sheperd dog trying to hang around his place. I called Animal Rescue League, told John to shoo the dog away. Only been there since this morning. |

Dr. Graingers son, James, 21 yrs. old calls re: his younger borther is missing with the fathers car. His brother is Peter, age 19 years old, and is AWOL fromthe field at Chicopee. Peter left home at 2.30 a.m. Monday morning as he was due back at the base at 4.30 a.m. He has the fathers car a 1963 Red MG Conv. Roadster, red top, Reg. 992611. |

Warrant Officer Mons of Westover Field, tel. 3625, Home number LY-33087 calls re: Graingers son. Is worried over the boy. Feels that he could have gone off the road between here and there. |

Called Mrs. Dr. Grainger. The boys birthday is to-morrow Oct. 9th and I feel that he will call home to-morrow if he is o.k. The Dr. and Mrs.G. and I are going to get to-gether Friday night and make up information sheet and give same to the State Police for broadcasting over the teletype. |

Curtis Peabody calls re: Fortin boy, 12 years old pesters him by throwing stones at his house and gas tank. Today Curtis got mad and accused and swore at the boy, which he regrets. The boy said that he did not throw anything. Has had trouble on previous occasions. Asked me to please ask the boy not to bother him as he is very nervous. (note - I later called the boys father and explained the situation) |

Dr. Grainger calls that his son is in the Hospital at Amherst, Nova Scotia. Critically ill. The gas tank was empty. |

Ralph Wagner calls re: Russell Gordon stopping his son Kenneth, 50 mph in a 35 mph zone. I called Russ O.K. and he said that Kenneth who he knows well gave him a hard time. I asked Kenneth to call Gordon back. Gordon told me that he did not turn the ticket in, and had no intention of even booking him but Kenneth forced him to. |

Mrs. Grace Taylor, teacher at the Dawson School, tells me that her son had her car Sat night and left same in the yard at Kings Market while he went to a party and when he came back some one had put tacks in two of the tires. |

Mrs. Clarence M. Gaw, of Sterling owner of car 535969 (now in bank car lot) is not running because some one put some sugar in the gas tank. She thinks that they put it in the day before yesterday while she was at her mother's house. |

Ralph Oberg calls re: rumors about Auburn coming to Holden to-night to tear down the goal poles. I called Hale and told him to have Welsh keep an eye on same and I also told Jim Oliver and Pettis to be on alert. |

Hale calls that there is quite a crowd up there at the W.R.H. to-night. Martin White wants two men to cover the field to prevent damage to the goal posts. I sent Pettis, Jas. Oliver and Hammond to cover same until 4.30 a.m. |

Lawlor former FBI agent at Worcester office now employed by Denholms in with two Wor. detectives, Genduso and Bob Morrissey, re: larceny of charge plate of Mrs. Ahlfors and charging two pair of mens shoes by unknown person. Sales clerk described person similar to Charles Bolster. I now wonder if his wife who recently left him could have stolen the plate and who has run off with another man. |

Chester Kaminski of Salisbury St. calls re: the five sheep damaged his flowers. I send Riordan to round up the sheep if possible. He called in at 5.40 p.m. that he had them all caught. Stephen Olson, 17 years old of Newell Road assisted him. We later found out that they belonged to one Mrs. Gertrude E. Pattan, 71 Chester St. Wor. tel. PL 3-6662. |

| Bob Birk of 357 Cornelia St. Plattsburg, N.Y. Mgr. of Radion Station WPTZ got stuck for $400 adv. bill on their TV spot by one Osborne Sherer who sells Old Time Woodsman Fly Dope. His brother is Dr. Shere of Holden tel. 9-8834. I located his whereabouts through young Benson who is a buddy of his. He has been staying at Smitty's Motel, Belchertown, Mass. tel. 413 323 7521. Left work for him to call me back but he did not. | |

Swenson and Mrs. Henry Bottcher call from the home of their mother Mrs. Dahlgren on Brattle St. that her roomer who has been there for years, Cosmo Crocco, about 50 years of age tried to get in bed with the mother who is about 78 yrs. old. Suggested to Mrs. Swenson that she be sure and get the story straight, and to see me Tuesday morning. | |

Christopher Pierce 14 yrs. old and his mother in re: two boys jostling him when he was by Bascom Parkway and he found that they cut his coat, apparently. The two boys had on jackets, marked wachusett. S. Nowak and he will be on the alert, at 4.30 pm. |

| Out to check on traffic at the corner of Birchwood Drive and Shrewsbury St. Mr. Crandall of 43 Birchwood Drive told me about one David Lloyd, 14 yrs. old driving up and down Birchwood in an unregistered car. I contacted the boy at WRH School and he said that this would not happen again. In regards to Birchwood Drive area, Shrewsbury St. is 25' wide at this point and one can see for 400 feet, west to crown of hill. David Lloyd told me about Bob Foy on Mt. View Drive operates his gas kart on that street. | |
| Chas. Winslow called and wanted to know who was hurt in the gun accident yesterday. Gave him the name of this boy, Robert Corey, 170 Princeton St. Jeff. Winslow wants to check into this. | |

Yom Foye, No.20 Mt View Drive Public Relations man for the State Mutual ins. Co. calls re: suspicion of the mental attitude of Lowell Crouse, 55 yrs old, married, who has lived next ot him the past nine years. Foye has three children and he is afraid of the nasty temper of Mr. Crouse who screams at the children. Sometimes the ball goes into the Crouse yard and he give the children a rough time in getting their ball back. I told him to have his neighbors or himself call me at once if any future trouble. Foye is afraid the same thing might happen here as happened in W.Boylston when the old man shot the young boy. |

Mr. Philip H. Warren Jr. of 41 Jamieson Road in re: missing stepdaughter. Has not heard from her for over a week. Is on her way to the west coast. Her name is Linda H. Lewis, 1964 Porcha car. She is independently wealthy. Mr. Warren was previously married and his present wife was formerly married. |
